Joe Yannece

Joe began his career in music in 1980 as drummer of the "new wave" band, POLYROCK. The band landed a deal with RCA records and went on to make three albums produced with the renowned Avant-Garde composer Philip Glass.

Relentless touring across the US and Europe led to Joe's decision to settle down and pursue the only thing he loved as much as drumming, audio engineering.

After receiving his diploma in Recording and Audio Arts from The Center For Media Arts, Joe took up a position at a well-established mastering house in New Jersey. There the young engineer spent the next eight years at this facility learning the craft of mastering from veteran engineers with over 60 years of combined experience.

In 2000, Joe was asked by Troy Germano to bring his skills to The Hit Factory. During his stay there, Joe mastered countless gold and platinum selling records earning several Grammys for his work and became friends with world renown mastering pros, Herb Powers and Scott Hull.

After The Hit Factory closed in 2005, Joe moved on to Classic Sound continuing to put the finishing touches on both major label and independent releases at his new home.

Now in 2007, Joe Yanecce has taken up position in one of the community's most influential mastering houses, Scott Hull Mastering.

Says Joe, "The process of building one of the unused studios in Scott's new facility into a great sounding, well equipped, mastering suite has been incredible. I'm looking forward to putting the finishing touches on the industry's best new music as I strive to produce the best sounding finished product possible."
