FAQ's

Question:
When I put my CD ref disk in my computer why don't the track names come up, like they do when I put in a commercially released CD.

Answer:
This one question is very common and there seems to be a lot of misinformation going about.

First Go to Gracenote

http://www.gracenote.com/music/corporate/FAQs.html

This is where the Titles and Timings of your CD will be "registered". These titles and timings are not stored with the CD, or placed in the CD master file before it is mass produced.

If you did not register your CD with Gracenote, then someone else who (hopefully) bought your CD might have. They also might have gotten the information wrong. Misspellings and omissions are common. You can revise the database for your CD easily at Gracenote.
If after looking around at Gracenote.com you don't feel confident entering the listing yourself, just ask and we can do that for you. If you mastered with us there is no extra charge, but you have to provide the titles and timings in a word or excel document.
